Field Day
Despite the total lack of success I’ve had at London festivals these last few weeks (Lovebox- boring, 1234- poorly organised AND boring), I am mentally preparing myself for Field Day this weekend. The weather is not hopeful either. Still, Mogwai are playing and in my mind that’s sorta worth the ticket price alone. I adore Mogwai and saw them live at Glastonbury a few years back. Or quite a few years back. I’m not too sure- all Glastonbury’s blur a little when you get that mash-up. Anyway, they were amazing live. Like a total wall of sound hit me. Or again, that could’ve just been the dope. Who knows…
There are other bands I want to see, so all in all I’m hoping the quality of music will lift it above the other festivals London has been serving up on a shit-stained platter for me of late. You can check out the line-up here. I’m going to attempt to take a camera and document it properly so I can actually blog about it rather than scribbling down the first bullshit that comes into my head this time. Sometimes pictures tell a better story than I ever could.
P.S. It’s worth mentioning that Field Day will be Mogwai’s only summer festival and (please god don’t let it rain) will be a great atmosphere to see them in.
P.S.S. Hit me up on email if you’re going as you can buy me beer, okay?
