I heart Adam & Joe
I was really stressed out yesterday and tried watching some films with my flatmates. Sadly they were foreign language films and, I don’t know, I think my DVD player’s gone zenophobic or something as it wouldn’t let us turn on the subtitles. Not speaking Japanese or Catonese we decided to sack it off. One of my flatmates totally saved the day and dug out The Adam & Joe Show from the DVD drawer and completely cheered me up with a blast of ’90s nostalgia. From Baaaad Dad, to the time Adam put loads of popping candy in his mouth and then poured coke over it, to the Star Wars Chew’ve Been Framed (total Robot Chicken precursor!), every moment always cracks me up.
Back in 2007 I helped to organise a gig in my hometown where some friends of mine performed a cover version of the Bobby De Niro Calypso. Somehow it caught the attention of Adam Buxton and he wrote about it on his blog!

Here’s the original from The Adam & Joe for comparison…
And one last little #save6music plug, here is a video I watched 45 minutes ago (I’d decided to do an Adam&Joe blog last night so I was chuffed to find this!) of Adam Buxton challenging Mark Thompson to a fight live on Channel Four news with regards to the closure of BBC 6Music radio station. Fucking brill.
